QIC is the main sponsor for Qatar Masters Open Chess Tournament

Qatar Insurance Company (QIC) partnered with Qatar Chess Association (QCA) to be the main sponsor for the Qatar Masters Open Chess Tournament, which started from 25th November and will continue till 5th December. With booming businesses and an upsurging economy, companies in Qatar are paving the way to put themselves on the map for their drive towards Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).

QIC being a responsible corporate citizen is no different from the rest. Being the largest flagship domestic insurer across Qatar and the MENA region, QIC provides full support to all sports activities and initiatives as a part of its commitment towards the community.

Speaking on this partnership, Mr. Ali Saleh Al Fadala, Senior Deputy Group President and CEO of QIC Group stated, “We acknowledge and whole-heartedly support the need to develop and sustain a social platform for supporting the four pillars of Qatar National Vision (QNV) 2030. Mr. Khalifa Al-Hitmi, President of the QCA commented, “Qatar Masters Open Chess Tournament is well poised to become the strongest open tournament in the Middle East with a prize fund of USD 110,000. We have allocated prize money of USD 25,000 for the first prize.
