Qatar Insurance Group to sponsor the 2023 Samla race

Qatar Insurance Group – the leading insurer in Qatar and the MENA region – announced its sponsorship of the Samla race in its fifth edition in 2023.

In view of the Group’s role in promoting the culture of sports in Qatar, the sponsorship of the Samla race was officially announced on Sunday during the signing of the sponsorship agreement at QIC Group’s headquarters in West Bay.

The sponsorship agreement was signed by Mr. Salem Al Mannai, Group CEO of QIC Group, and Mr. Azzam Al-Mannai, CEO of the Organizing Committee of the Samla Race.

“As the leading insurer in Qatar, we have a long-standing commitment to promote the culture of sports in Qatar. We aim to help build a generation characterized by good health by encouraging young people to adopt the culture of sports as a way of life.” Said Salem Al Mannai.

“This sponsorship also, demonstrates QIC Group’s relentless efforts in highlighting Qatar and our sporting events to the region.” Al Mannai added.

The CEO of the Organizing Committee of the Samla race expressed his gratitude and conveyed the significance of QIC Group’s sponsorship to the success of the race and said: “This sponsorship will without a doubt, help ensure the continued and expected success of Samla 2023 like the previous editions. We are proud to have QIC Group onboard.”

The annual Samla race is organized in March each year where fit young Qataris with high athletic skills compete in covering a distance of about 200 kilometers for a period of three days across the desert of Qatar.

Arabic
